PACE A produced another strong showing at the National League Finals, ultimately securing an impressive 5th-place finish against some of the best Boccia teams in the country.
The squad for the competition consisted of Alex (captain), Reshad, Jason and Ted, who represented PACE with determination, resilience and teamwork throughout the event.
Qualification for the National League Finals came after another dominant season in the London League, where PACE finished 1st for a record-breaking 11th consecutive year — an incredible achievement that highlights the club’s continued excellence and consistency in competition.
At the Finals, PACE A played four games overall. The team started brilliantly, blitzing through their opening match with an emphatic 11-1 victory. Unfortunately, the second game proved far more challenging, with PACE suffering an 11-0 defeat. A number of unfortunate fouls played a major part in the result, with the A team only able to play their Jack Ball for one end of the match.
That result meant PACE A finished 2nd in their group, narrowly missing out on qualification for the Super League this season. Despite the disappointment, the team responded brilliantly and showed tremendous character in their final two playoff matches to secure an excellent 5th-place finish overall.
Everyone at PACE Boccia would like to thank the players, coaches, volunteers, carers and parents for their continued commitment, support and dedication throughout the season. Your hard work and encouragement remain vital to the success and growth of PACE Boccia.
