It is with great sadness that we share the news that our former PACE Boccia athlete, Mitchell Robinson, has passed away recently.
Mitchell was a fierce competitor, full of charisma, and capable of inspiring his team mates to elevate their performances. His determination on the court resulted in him being part of PACE Boccia’s most successful superleague season, and he was a key member of PACE A. Mitchell was a technical operator, with the know-how to get out of difficult situations, and a desire to make the game hard for his opponents. He backed this up by regularly medalling at Boccia England competitions.
Mitchell’s kindness off the court, and his ability to light up a room with his smile, created many amazing memories for our club and our athletes. He will be remembered for his jokes, his dedication, and his garish kit choices.
Mitchell always played with passion and a smile on his face. In doing this, he reminded us all that sport is about having fun, connecting with your team, and showing resilience to get through challenging situations.
Our thoughts are with Mitchell’s family, friends, and teammates at this difficult time.
Mitchell’s funeral will take place on Friday 19th September. If you have any photos, of memories of Mitchell, please do share them with us.
