It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Jagjit Singh Chuk, a cherished member of the PACE community.
Jagjit first joined PACE in 2005, becoming one of our very first members. From the beginning, he brought with him a fierce competitive spirit—one that left a lasting impact on both the people around him and the culture of PACE itself. His drive, determination, and quiet strength helped set the tone for what PACE would become.
A natural leader, Jagjit became PACE Boccia’s first captain, taking on the responsibility of guiding a brand-new team with confidence and heart. Under his leadership, the team found its identity, and his influence can still be felt today.
Jagjit’s dedication to sport shone brightly, especially in Boccia, where he achieved an exceptional milestone: winning a gold medal in a teams and pairs competition in 2013. It was an achievement he truly earned—it was one of the first ever competitive medals at PACE Boccia.
Despite his shy demeanor, Jagjit came alive at PACE. Here, he found joy, purpose. His love for sport and his love for being part of PACE were evident every time he arrived with quiet enthusiasm and a ready willingness to participate.
Jagjit will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for his warmth, humility, and the subtle yet powerful way he inspired others. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, and he will be sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who hold Jagjit in their hearts.
