PACE Charitable Trust has proudly been delivering inclusive Boccia sessions on Fridays at the a2Dominion Beethoven Centre, creating a welcoming space where disabled people and those with long-term health conditions can come together through sport. More than 50 participants have accessed the sessions, building confidence, developing new skills, and forming lasting friendships. Boccia has proven to be far more than a game; it has become a vital community hub where individuals feel supported, empowered, and celebrated.
We are incredibly grateful to Costco, through United Way UK, for their generous funding, which has been instrumental in sustaining and growing this programme. Their support has enabled us to provide specialist equipment, qualified coaching, and a safe, accessible venue where everyone can take part regardless of ability or experience. Thanks to this partnership, we have been able to remove barriers to participation and ensure that cost is never an obstacle for those who would benefit most.
The a2Dominion and PACE partnership and with the support of Costco over the past two years has seen participants turn into Boccia athletes, accessing sessions on a regular basis, providing a path to competitive Boccia.
